A Message from North Tipperary Hospice
01 May 2020With the Tipperary footballers shave, mo or dye fundraising campaign this weekend we have received a message of support from secretary of North Tipperary Hospice, Ms Eileen Kennedy
Please listen to the voice message above the image.
Ms Kennedy spoke about the important work and support that North Tipperary Hospice provides to cancer sufferers and their families.
They have three centres in operation, Suaimhneas in Nenagh, Suir Haven in Thurles and Roscrea Outreach which provide information, counselling, complimentary therapies, support groups and bereavement groups for people and their families on their cancer journey.
The services also funds palliative care nurses in North Tipperary who support people in their own home as well as providing equipment to allow cancer clients live at home with dignity and respect.
North Tipperary Hospice ensures people are not alone on their cancer journey and support and walk with them on every step of their journey.
Unfortunately, they require €500,000 to continue to provide their services and no part of this service is government funded. This shows the importance of community support and the efforts of the Tipperary footballers and their backroom team as this fundraise for this vital service.
