The view from the hotel at 7.30am today
Today’s Allianz League clash with Down was unfortunately postponed due to the heavy snow that fell overnight in Newry however the clash of Cork V Clare went ahead last night with the Banner county accounting for the Rebel while Roscommon recorded a crucial win over Cavan to send them top of the table. That result means that if Tipperary defeat Cavan next weekend we are automatically promoted to the top flight for the very first time in our history regardless of the result in the Tipperary V Down fixture.
The CCCC of the GAA will meet on Tuesday to decide the time and date of the re-fixture against Down.

Shane Stapleton (left) made a welcome return this week
Despite the disappointment of no match there was some great news today with the return of selector Shane Stapleton to the fold for the very first time since his recent unfortunate accident. Shane provided the panel with a massive boost when he arrived to training on Tuesday evening and stayed with the team in the hotel overnight and was due to resume his role on the sideline today. It was great seeing him there today and everyone associated with the team is thrilled to have him back.
