AGM – Friends of Tipperary Football

Last Wednesday night December 4th 2019 at the Horse & Jockey Hotel the Friends of Tipperary Football AGM took place in front of a fine attendance. Secretary Trish Gavin gave a full and comprehensive report on the activities of the ‘’Friends’’ over the past twelve months. Our thanks to Trish on her excellent report and we thank her for her outstanding work as Secretary throughout the year.  Treasurer of the ‘’ Friends ‘’ Kevin McLoughlin gave a detailed report on the finances over the past twelve months. Our thanks to Kevin for doing a wonderful job and managing the finances in a very professional manner.

Chairman Michael Power in his final address to convention as Chairman thanked everyone for all their help and assistance over the past five years and paid special tribute to all his fellow officers who served with him during that period, and  he also thanked  the committee of the ‘’Friends’’. Michael thanked the Football Committee, the County Board and all the management teams and players and   everyone who helped out in any way over the past five years. County Chairman John Devane and Football Committee Chairman Barry O Brien addressed the AGM and our thanks to John and Barry. Our thanks also to our great friend Michael Power County Treasurer for attending the meeting.

Due to the five year rule Michael had to step down as Chairman of the ‘’Friends’’. Our thanks to Michael for all the hard work and dedication that he put in as Chairman over the past five years. Michael has done a fantastic job in leading and driving the committee of the Friends of Tipperary Football forward over his term.  His dedication, hard work and the professional way he carried out his duties was second to none. The betterment of football in the county was all that interested Michael and that was his main aim. Michael was extremely popular and worked well with the committee, the management and players. Michael is a true gentleman and will be missed by all. Thanks Michael.

Treasurer: Kevin McLoughlin

Pro: Andy Fogarty

Michael Power will continue as Chairman in a caretaker’s capacity until a new Chairperson is appointed. Congratulations to all the officers elected on the night.
