Today, History Ireland published an online podcast entitled Bloody Sunday – The Tipperary Connection

The Tipperary team gathered around the spot where Michael Hogan died. This photograph hung in the family pub of Jimmy McNamara in Cahir. Jimmy played on Bloody Sunday and was part of the 1920 All-Ireland winning team.

 

Taking part in the podcast were two members of the Tipperary GAA Bloody Sunday Commemoration Committee, John Flannery and Enda O’Sullivan as well as former president of the GAA Aogán Ó Fearghail and Jayne Sutcliffe from the Tipperary Museum. Jayne herself revealed interesting news regarding the Michael Hogan jersey in the Tipperary County Museum.
