Not even extra time could separate these two teams in today’s final at the Clonmel Sportsfield as the destination of the 2017 South Tipperary senior football title remains undecided. Jason Lonergan looked to have snatched victory for Commercials as he split the posts with two minutes remaining but Liam Boland became the Rovers’ hero drawing the sides level deep in injury time.

Canon Hayes National Sports Awards in Tipperary

We wish to congratulate Ciara Kennedy, Silvermines Ladies Football Club and John McGrath, Emly GAA Club, who were recently awarded a Canon Hayes Sports Award for their dedication and commitment to their respective GAA clubs.

Ciara has served for a number of years with her club as an official and volunteer and has helped Silvermines grow into the club it is today while John has served on the committee in Emly for 25 years and has served the club in many capacities.

North Tipperary Branch of the Friends of Tipperary Football

The North Tipperary branch of the Friends of Tipperary Football will be holding their official 2018 launch at the Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon, Nenagh this Wednesday, January 10th, at 8pm.

On the night there will be food and refreshments and members of the Tipperary senior football panel will also be present. If you would like to get involved with the Friends or just to be there on the night you are more than welcome to attend.
