The Tipperary minor footballers defeat Limerick, upcoming club fixtures and the latest Tipperary LGFA news

Minor Football

Congratulations to our minor footballers, who were made work all the way to the end of extra-time this evening by a determined Limerick side in Newcastlewest, on winning their play-off match 2-12 to 1-11 to record Tipperary’s first minor championship win in three years.

Matt O’ Doherty’s side now go on to face Waterford on Wednesday next in a Waterford venue. For a full match report please click here.

Tipperary LGFA

We extend our best wishes to the Tipperary LGFA side who face Armagh at 1pm on Sunday in the Lidl Division Two league semi-final. This team have been sensation since last year and we hope their great form continues this weekend.

We also send our congratulations to Cahir’s Aishling Moloney who is the Croke Park Hotel LGFA Player of the Month award winner for March. Aishling has certainly had a memorable few months after winning the All-Ireland intermediate title with Tipperary last year as well as a county senior football title with Cahir before capturing a well deserved TG4 All-Star award which resulted in a tour to Bangkok. She also captained DCU to O’ Connor Cup glory in March.

It has been a great week for Cahir GAA with Aishling’s club mate Liam Casey being selected on the Sigerson Cup team of 2017/18 after his fantastic performances for UCD this year.
