Tipperary win Munster U16 and 15 football finals
22 Jul 2010Had the pleasure of being at the Munster U 16 football final in the Gaelic Grounds,Limerick yesterday and witnessed a fantastic game of top class football. Being the first time for a Tipperary team to win this competition is a significant achievement and is a testament to the quality of work being done,by dedicated people who are both competent and capable. The professional approach by both the mentors and panel of players is to be commended. The game was a rip roaring contest with end to end action displaying top class high fielding, passing movements, long range scores, class defending and a work ethic from all, that you could not be but proud of. Hats off to a great bunch of players that one would hope will progress to bring further silverware to Tipperary in the years ahead. It was a great team performance, not one weak link , some serious players on display , the future of Tipperary football is bright. With the under 15s also winning their competition in Cork for the first time also, another significant achievement, coupled with the under 14s being touched off in the semi final by the narrowest margins by the eventual winners the dream of winning that fifth senior football All Ireland by 2020 is going in the right direction. Well done to all involved and keep up the good work .
