Tipperary’s Senior Captain for 2018 Revealed
31 Oct 2017Tonight Tipperary’s Captain and Vice Captain for 2018 was Revealed
Robbie Kiely, Carbery Rangers, Cork (formally Arravale Rovers), has been announced as the Tipperary senior football captain for 2018. Taking over the role from the excellent Brian Fox, Robbie is a superb choice by the Tipperary senior management team. A popular figure among the panel, Robbie is a real driving force from the half back line with his determined runs and leadership qualities.
Tonight the vice captain was also revealed and Ballyporeen’s Conor Sweeney will fulfil this position. Conor was recently named on the Irish panel ahead of the Compromised Rules Series with Australia in November and at corner forward is regularly to be found listed amongst the Tipperary scorers at the end of a match.
We wish both players the very best in their roles for 2018.
The Friends of Tipperary Football are now selling membership for 2018 and once again it is a very reasonable €20.
